The silence that hurts: exploring ghosting
Have you ever been in a situation where the conversation flowed effortless, the connection felt genuine, and for a moment, it all just made sense until , suddenly, it didn't?
No goodbye, no explanation. Just silence, you scroll through the messages finding clues. Was it something you said? Something you didn't? And yet the only answer you get is just silence. And that's the feeling of ghosting!
It's a very strange emotion that can't be express, and especially when it comes from someone you once trusted deeply. It hits even harder when that person wasn't just anyone, but someone you considered a close friend. And One day you just left confused with unanswered questions and a heaviness in your chest. You replay moments in your mind, wondering what went wrong, but there's only silence. Their sudden absence made you feel like you never really knew them at all.
There are times when people need us, and you were always there whenever they needed you- no matter the time, no matter the situation. But when you needed them the most, they were nowhere to be found. They left your life as if you never mattered, as if your presence, your care, your efforts meant nothing. It hurts to realise that someone you stood by without hesitation could walk away so easily, without looking back, as if it never affected them at all. You used to share everything with that person, every thought, every feeling, because you have consider them as your true friend. You trusted them, it's hard for you to believe in someone but still you give that bond a chance to believe. But what happen, they had been lying to you all long. Looking back now it feels like opening up to them was a mistake. There is a regret that you feel - trusting them so deeply, you ended up hurting yourself.
And you know what's the worst part that it all comes from a person who knew exactly what broke you in the past -- they knew your pain, the things that affected you deeply and still they choose to do the same thing to you. They walked away without looking back, without even sending a single message to ask if you were okayy. That kind of silence from someone you never expected, it what's hurts the most.
Isn't it strange that the person we give our time to, try to understand them, listen to their problems , they end up taking us for granted and we didn't even realise it? There's one quote from a book which says that ----"You said you loved me, but you did nothing to make me stay, I told you what other's did to my heart and you left me feeling exactly the same way"!
Here's the closure! And I believe everyone deserves a final closure- one last honest conversation to know what really went wrong . One last message something, anything....so they don't have to keep wondering afterwards why they leave... evryone deserves that✨
